Trickle Charger

I just got myself a trickle charger, to use on a car you don't use for plolonged time. this works fine with my toyota camry. Is it going to do any harm if I use it on my W210?

I plan to use it on my W210 to compensate the battery wasted for the convenience lights

I have never used one but somebody advised us to get one that cuts off when the battery gets to full charge.

Trickle charger is designed to be plugged overnight to refresh the battery for morning start. When left for long time, it can overcharge the battery and " boil" it dry.
For battery storage you need battery maintainer, that keeps the voltage at preset level (13,5 V for lead/acid batteries).
