Exclamation Vibrating noise

Hey guys.... i'm having problems with my 01 e430. while driving the car at normal speeds, there is this loud vibrating noise that comes and goes. when it does come on, it goes away when i give it a little gas. at first i thought it was my wheels, but wouldn't it always make that noise if it was my wheels? my second guess was my exhaust piping, but i am not sure if it is. it does kinda rattles when i first start the car, and when i come to a stop, but only for a moment then goes away. i'm wondering if it was the rear diff... does the fluid needs to b changed or refill? does anyone know whats worng with my car. i don't really want to take it to the dealer cause they are a rip off. i just need to find out what the problem is and fix it myself. please help.......the noise gets kinda annoying......

Like you, I think if your wheels are to blame you would hear it all, or at least most, of the time.

I would start by checking the exhaust system to see if anything is loose. Have you considered the motor mounts? Maybe they are just starting to go bad.

As far as the differential fluid, my dealer told me they do that automatically at either the 80,000 or 90,000 A or B service (sorry can't remember for sure but that is close).

It could very possibly be as simple as checking the air pressure in your tires.
