RTV Sealant

I have a very bad headlight condensation problem and read on here that I should apply a layer of clear silicone where the plastic and the lens meet. I wanted to make sure which one I should get and how many or how many OZ.

Find something advertised as "low volatility" or "low acid" or both. You won't need much.

During this week it has rained a lot and my headlight lenses look drenched. Should I apply the sealant now or wait until it dried up or dry it up some how and then apply the sealant?

You must actually remove the lenses if you want the sealing to work well at all. Once removed, then it can be sealed. Apply a very thin layer of sealant to the existing rubber seal and reseat the lens. Let it dry with the rear cover removed, so any acetic acid released won't be trapped inside.

Well I have after market depo headlights and I believe I have to put them in the oven to be able to remove the lenses and I don't know the first thing about doing that. So I was thinking the next thing I can do is just apply a layer around the lens as it was suggested in other threads here, would that work at all?

I've never seen those headlights in person, so I can't answer the question. I'm sure someone else can. But it would be next to impossible to seal the OEM lens without removal.
