Transfer case output shaft seal is leaking. Dealer is saying 6.5hours or labor + $85.00 for the part. Is this rasonable price for this job on 2000 E430 4Matic?

I did like the car. 40V 4.2 V8 with 310 HP. Only draw back is the transmission issue they struggled up untill the 2006 newer A8.

Also, it costs $2200 to do the timing belt service every 75k miles.

But overall, it was a very nice ride with space age Frame (aluminum), aluminum body panels, and very comfortable.

I'd at least get a second opinion. Any decent transmission shops around you?
