Unhappy Fuel's odor emission

HI there guys I really miss you all,,

straight on the subject after I changed the fuel pump in my E320 99" V6, because I have got in trouble with OEM one taking longer time to start the car.
So now after a while with the new Fuel pump "I didn't bought it from the dealer but it was quite expansive one I mean about 160$ but when I asked the dealer they said they have one for about 360$", it starts to smell "gas or fuel" when you come close to the car rear "obviously from exhaust" u smell it clearly but u can't smell it when you are inside the car.

Please tell me is there any problem with my new FUEL PUMP, or as somebody told me that I'm not going in long distance journey these days so thats a normal engine emission for not being used for long journeys!!!

Any idea for different reason, Please help.

I can't imagine how bad fuel pump can affect exhaust without triggering error codes.
Are you sure it is not leaking connection on new pump?

Unhappy

That is also my guess. The air from the rear pipes is blowing the fuel smell around at the rear of the car.
