E430 Sport Foglamp Bulb

I'm just trying to clarify that the foglamp bulb in my 1998 E430 Sport is an H1? My manual says the fogs are H1's, but after researching the forum, it seems they could be H1 or H3. I have Sylvania SilverStars installed for both the Low/High bulbs...any recommendations on a similar type bulb for the foglamps?

Sticky?

Nice Post, Reyna7.

Mods, how about putting Reyna7's info in the DIY-Sticky thread; it's going to be a bit different for some 210s but it's a great starting place.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

Reyna7...Thank you! I went with the H1 Silver Stars for the foglamps and love them!! I appreciate your help!
Totalfixation....I've had the Silver Star H1's in for 3-4 days and there have been no "lamp malfunction" errors on the dash. Hope that helps ya!

No Problem - glad to help!

Now if only our fog lights had replaceable lenses

Sylvania's should give you no "lamp malfunction" error warning - I'm going with them until I can save up enough for the infamous Zam2000 retrofit/upgrade.

FYI - Check this thread as a heads up!

I'd like my fog's to match the clarity of my newly restored headlight lenses......is the absolute only way to get new looking lenses on a E430 sport to buy the entire foglamp assy for nearly 200 bucks (each!) ?
