I think the car is a real beauty! A friend of mine who owns a Lexus had emailed me pics of the new 2007 E class that were posted on the Lexus boards a few weeks ago. They were actual pics and more then one pic. I think it kind of looks like the new S class and the new 2008 C class (which to me resembles a baby S class). I am contemplating waiting for the 2009 before I get another MB but really do want a new car this year. My car has 80k miles on it soon. I have replaced some major things end of last year so hoping to keep it for at least a little longer. Car is like new inside and out and serviced, pampered but I don't want to keep it at 100k miles as I don't want the maintenance expenses when things need to be replaced
I saw more then just the pic posted on this board a few weeks ago and to me the car is nicer then the Lexus. Lexus is a nice car but in the beginning they copied MB and the new LS460 almost looks identical to the new 7 series BMW IMO. I think this 2009 MB will be unbelievable! I hope the quality and reliability is back and I am thinking it will be and then I will buy one again
MBZ better darn well give it circular/oval headlights. Those pointy lights are stolen from Lexus, which stole the separated light design from our W210!!
But hey, if it comes equiped with a 6 speed manual (even the wagon?!), it sounds exciting. Have to compete with BMW somehow, right?
