2002 E320 4Matic - No Books or CD - Anyone Have Access? - Benzworld.org

Just bought 2002 E320 4Matic Wagon - car didn't have books - does anyone have the book's data via electronic file? I know is a long shot, but will take awhile to get books in hard copy.

Same for the radio file - still can't figure out all the functions.

Anyone have access to CD for maintenance? This site has some great procedures from some very thoughtful folks, but I need to review transmission drain and fill, and a couple of other maintenance items.

All of the book that you will need are on MBUSA.com. Go to me members online section and register and you can view all books.

Just created account and got access to the operators manual - pretty cool!

I like being able to keep the service profile up to date ... only thing better would be to have access in same manner to all maintenance that has been performed via the VIN ... I know dealer where was performed, in Cinncinati, OK - not likely they will want to release, I'll bet.

stephenson - you're right, every time i've tried to get a dealer to release info prior to my ownership based on VIN, they cite the Patriot Act and tell me they can't do it. some service managers will give you verbal confirmation if you suspect something but will not send anything out in writing unless you have the signature of the original owner...so ridiculous!

My dealer printed out my VMI (vehicle master inquiry) for me, and they were not even the original dealer. It was one of the service writers, and maybe he was not supposed to (??)

I also went to the original dealer (they had done all "A" and "B" services, plus a few other things). As fas as I know, I now have a complete service history on my pre-owned Benz.

p.s. Just last week, I had the selling dealer print me the CARFAX report too.
