Buying New Trim for Car

Hey Guys,

The lid for the cubby hole that contains the cup holder was cracked. So I ordered a new one last week and it arrived today. When I compared the colour of the new lid and the current colour of the trim already there, the new lid looks alot darker. I installed it anyway, as I prefer the different colour to the crack!

I was just wondering if this is due to sun damage or were there different shades of Birds-Eye maple trim? Will the new lid fade to the same colour?

Thanks

Mike

Hi Micosavo,

Would you mind taking a pic of what you consider to be the cup holder in your Benz ? I have a '97 E320 and all I have that is suppose to be a cup holder is the little square (rectangular) cavity between the the front seats. It is covered by the birds eye maple trim lid that comes up after it is depressed. I recently saw a doco on the W210's and it showed a cup holder that resembles a stalk with a circular holder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
