Exclamation E430 Motor Swap

i was just wondering if it was possible to swap out the motor in my e430 for a e55 motor.

Sure it is, but you'll spend more than your car is worth or will be worth after doing it.

And, when you're finished, the rest of your car won't be engineered like a true AMG to be compatible with this engine.

The W210 chassis is basically the same, but as Kent pointed out, you won't have the other goodies that come on an AMG. The suspension is probably the main thing, and I also think the AMG brakes are different.

I know this is obvious, but if I were you, I'd trade what you have for an AMG that was built as one from the ground up.

It would be cheaper - and wiser - to sell the e430 ($12-16k) and pick up an e55. I paid $20.5k last summer for an '01 with 73k miles and a two-year warranty.
