My wife broke mine by pushing on the top thinking she was opening the cubby above. I'm stumped as to how to fix it. I keep it closed by jamming a wadded tissue in the bottom. Any body with a quick fix???

It must have something to do with the clasp, or whatever there is to hold it closed. I am not a mechanical person, so if it were me, I'd order the one on eBay like acarter53 suggested. It's pretty unlikely that if a plastic part is broken, you can fix it with SuperGlue, or whatever. That ashtray assembly, if even available, would probably cost you $100 from your dealer!

Quick fix for you is spelled D-I-V-O-R-C-E - hehe.
It is not true that once it breaks it's done. I fixed mine, and it's been working for the past year (and I use it). It did take me about an hour to fix it though, so if I could have gotten one for $20, I would have gone that route.
There's a small plastic pin on an arm on each side that runs in a track, holding the cover closed. These pins sheared off of the arms on my door. I repaired it by very carefully drilling a hole where the pin sits and gluing in a piece of rolled brass sheet to replace the plastic pin. It wasn't hard at all to repair.
