s500 engine in e420

I dont know.... if u got the money do it...but the E420 engine is fine its 8 cylinder and it has more then enough power

Seems that the electrics would be an issue here. Your computer won't work with the 600 engine, and the 600's computer probably will not appreciate being put in your car.

not sure the s600 engine will work, but i know Brabus has some 6.5 liter v8 if you're willing to shell out some bucks. all i knwo is that it has loads of horsepower and torque.

There's still the problem with the engine computer.

You didn't say why you wanted to do that. If your 420 motor is shot, I'd consider rebuilding it. If you want more HP and torque, I don't think you'll be gaining very much. The best solution is probably to just buy a newer E430. You don't know what you're going to get from a salvage yard, but there is a good chance an engine from one of those is not very good.

i thought the engine from the s500 is the same as the e50 amg???
just curious im not looking to do this tomorrow or anything like that.
