My car came with no sunroof. Has anybody heard of a proper retro-fit of a mercedes sunroof being completed? I mean, not just a third-party company putting a crappy version, but actually getting a new unit in the roof with all the correct switches and the proper mercedes sunroof?
Would it be possible to get this stuff out of a breakers yard?
I have air-con, but really like the natural light and air that only a sunroof can give.
Your chances of finding a 2000 mercedes at a junkyard are slim to none. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that roof is welded to the frame and removing it would compromise the structural integrity of the vehicle. I would advise against it. I don't have one in my e300 and it dosen't bother me much...
