Hi All,
I have a year 2000 W210 E320 CDI. I am having power issues... When i first start the car in the morning, all runs well, i.e. when i put my foot down i get the big burst of power and the car goes as it should. Once the vehicle has warmed up, if i ask for more power there is no sudden burst, it just slowly increases in speed, the revs do not increase barely at all. Is this an issue with the Mass Air Flow device? If so, is this easy to replace?
If not, can you point me in the general direction or will i need to consult a dealer?
The strange thing is, my fuel consumption is better by about 5mpg when it is not running correctly.
Thanks in advance, Gruffy.
hmmm i am not sure but my friend had a similar problem where car takes of normally but when it changes gears and u try to push the gas pedal to go fast lets say around 50 or 60 there is no power it just chokes....the main reason this happened to his car is because catalyc converter went bad and is choking up the power output...now i dont know if this is the same problem but i thought it would help...good luck
