Hello..
I am new to this forum and would greatly appreciate some help.
I have a W210 E Class model and yesterday whilst driving the ETS & ABS lights illuminated and have stayed on ever since. I have also noticed that the cruise control has not funtioned since.
I have 124k on the clock which is not much for a Mercedes.I would like to know
1. What the problem is ?
2. If I keep driving am I doing any harm?
3.If there is any soloution to this without bringing to a dealership I would greatly appreciate your responses.
I will check my Brake light switch although when I apply the brakes the lights doesnt dim or go out in any way plus I have all my lights .If switch was the cause I think I wouldnt have any brake lights which is leading to look somewhere else,However I will investigate further....Thanks For Your Post
Have the overvoltage protection relay checked and the 2 red fuses on top of this relay. When this relay is out the abs is out. And the abs light is on. Since the cruise control is hooked up to kick off when the brakes are applied it probably won't work if the abs is out.
Yes thanks for this forum. I was driving my 96 E320 on the Hwy and when I had to brake to pay the toll my dashboard lights ABS and ETS lights came up and I have got really concerned about and when I have found this forum and it was totally helpful. I have folowed your instructions in replacing the Brake switch and the lights went of right away spending only $23.00 in parts from Mercedes dealer. I love you guys for having me of being rip off from the dealer.
