I bought a 6 disc Cd-Changer for my 1997 E320. I think it goes in the driver side of the trunk. When I bought the used changer it did not have a cable. Is there a cable tucked away in the trunk somewhere? Also once it's hooked up do you have to tune your radio station into a spicific station. Or do I just need to hit the cd button on the radio?

Here's some pictures from my 2001; I don't know if a 1997 is the same. I did not have to install a cable from the trunk to the head unit since it came that way from the factory.
The pre-99 should be non-fiberoptic and the cable should be on the driver side. It's hidden behind the well area underneath the trunk liner. Another word the cable should be is right above the driver side rear wheel (in the trunk). It should be a straight plug in once you find it.
Good luck

Thats correct..remove the center trunk carpet..remove the drivers side trunk carpet..the wire harness is secured to the main wire harness at the drivers side wheel well..

Congratulations! I bought my car used, and it had just about everything possible except for a CD changer. I paid more like $200 for mine on eBay, but the dealership installed it for free (I did buy the mounting kit from them for another $100).
