1998 merecedes e320, it came out a code P0715 input/ turbine speed sensor malfunction. the car stuck at first gear and don't up shift. Is that mean I need to replace the turbine speed sensor. Does anybody knows where is the location for the turbine speed sensor or can anyone tell how to fix the problem? thanks.
I have the exact same fault code occurring with my 2000 E430. It's stuck in the limp home mode (i.e. 2nd gear and reverse only). What does this usually mean?

Gentlemen, I will try to answer both your problems in one. On the valve body (in your transmission) you will find a plastic plate, which carries the input and output speed sensors. This plate is known to crack around the input speed sensor. Hence your problem and the lock down in second gear. The repair for this means removing the tranny fluid/oil pan/filter/valve body and lastly the electronics plate. Then replace the plate, and refit all other parts. hope this gives you a starting point.

Are these the same ZF gearbox parts that you said that MB used on the forum that banned you for posting silly answers.

Malcolm, if you can remember, I know your getting old and senile, we were both banned for arguing with each other. Later I was banned for arguing with you again. Did they ban you, I hope so. Have a nice day
Folks, bring the car in to confirm the diagnostic code. The problem might just be the sensor clean up; you should have the fluid and the filter changed as part of the repair.
