From looking at posts from this forum....I bought a NEW brake light switch from the dealer and installed it myself..... well the ESP and ABS light's are still on (The left side and "ESP" in the middle) and turn on after approx 2 seconds of DRIVING the car. It does not go on when I start the car and idle or hit the brake, only when i shift to drive, the car moves, then it comes on. I noticed Posts where the brake light switch fixes the ETS and ABS lights, but is this the same thing? What could be happening?
I have had aftermarket (19") wheels on my car and lowered suspension for about a year and this just happened about a month ago and It WON'T go away!! HELP PLEASE!!!
Nope still there. The only thing I'm thinking of next is the battery. It works fine but it's an old one. It may have dropped below 10 volts? Anyone else have any other suggestions before I bring it to the dealer and spend alot of $$?

Thx in adavnce
Remove & replace your old Battery. Just so you know that if your battery is go lower than 12 volts (voltage threshold for BAS, ABS, ASR, ESP) it will also trigger those warning lights.
I had similar problem. I reset the Battery, by disconnecting the Negative cable for aprox 2 min and start and restarted the car 2 times and drove the car the lights are gone.

are you not keeping the switch or is it the old one? how do you install it? this just happened to my car the other day, i drove it in to my mechanic and he was aware of the brake switch issue but told me to call again after he reset the warning light. i hope a brake switch light works if the abs/esp lights go on again.

so i had a "lamp defective" light come on - after the ABS & ESP came on once again last night (hasn't happened this morning on the commute in)...the lamp defective has been on a while, so I figure it's a rear passenger side fog lamp bulb, since taht'st he only one that doesn't seem to be working. I lift up the trunklid and look up, and there's no blue light housing, just a metal cap, over where the rear bulb should be? called dealership, they said some E's have two lamps in the back, some have one. could it be that the lamp defective warning is related to the abs/esp "brake light switch" issue?
