I have a problem with my car which I have eventually identified as the one outlined in the above article by Stu Ritter.
This if fine if you live in the USA, I live in England.
I have tried to get the equivalent info for cars in the UK. The TD was not introduced into the USA untill 1998 and the emission controls are different.
My Merc main dealer has not a clue.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me, or advise who I can contact. It would be avantageous to me if I knew what software date I needed for an ECU to correct this complaint!
