97 E420 trunk release w/ remote??

i read over the manual but nothing there.. i was unlocking the door yesterday and BOOM the trunk opened. because there is only 1 button on the remote, i thought maybe pressing twice really fast would release the trunk, but i couldn't do it again..

is this a secret feature, or is my car possessed?

It's in my manual. You press the button twice in very quick succession. I usually just unlock the car and use the manual release button.
