It has been awhile since I last posted. I have been unable to drive my wagon for the past 18 mo because I was screwed over by the body shop AND the insurance company. The Insurance company has finnaly stepped up to the plate really inspected my car and found a few more parts that were not installed, eventhough I have paid for them, not to mention additional shoddy repairs. Any way the reason for the post is that the insurance manager pointed out that the lower radiator support was bent to make it fit when the shop replaced it. In reviewing my pictures I am no longer sure it was bent by the shop but rather intended to be the way it looks in the picture.
The first pic is of the left side looking foward from underneath the vehicle. The second is of the right side same orientation but didn't come out as well.
According to the Insurance person it is the left side that was bent to fit but looking closely at the sheet metal I don't think it was. Looks more like the piece was designed asymetrically. I don't mind droping a hammer on the body shop I just don't want to be wrong
If anyone out there can confirm or refute my suspision I would greatly appricate it. pics of your w210 would help.
BTW: Pic three is the rt ftr inner corner of the car.
Can you take a better picture?
I could check my wagon, but can't figure out what you are looking for.
Tomorrow is holiday. Time to take the family to the Ocean, so don't expect me back soon.
Sorry, I will try for better pictures but the car is at a bodyshop for now. If the insurance company pays my expenses and DV then I might have enough money to make it driveable. The little red thing is the radiator drain. the foward splash shield is removed
