carcrushin,

THANK YOU. This is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for.

The E55 look sweet.

The E320 is a bit low for my taste. What were the springs and pads (front and rear) on that setup?

I'm aware of this. I've modded 7 VWs and one Audi over the past 15 years.

From what I've read, there is no *reliable* standard. And if there is, how does that fit into my request for real examples, not cocktail napkin calculations?

Ummm...springs are damper mods. They lower the ride height. Am I missing the point here or are you just wrong?

See my first response.
Ouch! Maybe because it's one in the morning here but your reply seems a little harsh... when someone asks a question, members like to respond with their perspective and insight... you can use the information, or keep looking for more answers. Forums wouldn't be much fun if people posted questions and got no answers for fear of being criticized

Here's my 2001 E320 with AMG 18" wheels, using H&R Springs and the OEM pads. (#2) If I did it over, I would use #1's...

Richard, thanks for the reply.

This is great info. Your setup is exactly what I'm looking for. You car looks awesome. I think that I may replicate this setup.

Yeah, after re-reading, my post does sound harsh. I apologize for that.
