Angry This noise drives me CRAZY!!

recently, I have noticed this weird noise right by my shifter and near my ash tray. It sounds like metal rattaling on metal... but mostly at speeds from like 23-30MPH and some other selections of speeds too. and I have also noticed the sound evertime i step on the gas and it reaches the area of 1500 RPMs. I thought that maybe i droped a few pennies under my ash tray area or some loose screws, but nothing.
Please... this noice is soooo anoying... I would really appreciate some help on this issue. (the reason i say that is becuase for some reason, most of my odd issues never get answered, but everybody has to put there 2 cents into answered topics)

Thanks soo much in advanced to everybody that will help me... because ive had no luck and Its starting to irritate me.

Most likely it's gear stick bushing, under the console underneath your car, it's cheap, here it costs around $10.

Don't worry your not alone, I hear the same noise too in mine at the same location as yours. I noticed it started after I went over a pothole last week.

Yea... mine started after I took my car through some heavy treatment on a rally course.... haha... the course was fun, but i still cannot get over that noise.
Oh, about the fact that it might be the shift brush, how can i get access to it... Under the car? or under the window switch panels.

HA! And if matrimony isn't enough to drowned out the noise, strategically place two rival siblings in the rear with only one toy. That'll keep your mind off the noise!

I hear a lot of wind noise behind my head... could this have anything to do with the little accident I had last week ? (JUST KIDDING)
