Hello all, my 97 E230s central locking is playing up. The only doors that lock are the front ones and the boot/trunk only opens using the metal key. Checked all fuses and all seems fine. Lifted the back seat to have a look at the vacuum pump and fuses, tried pressing the key to see if the pump was working but now the remote on the key wont lock even the front doors , I also tried the spare key with the same result, the red light comes on but with no effect. Using the locking button on the dash the pump runs and locks the front doors but nothing else. Sounded like an air leak on the pump when running so I checked all pipes on the unit and they were fine. After a while I pressed the grey cover(which the pipes are connected to) down toward the pump while the dash button was pressed and all doors locked and opened. So I have now found the culprit for the back doors not locking but what has happened the remotes since I started investigating?
