The left side blows hot and the right side blows cold.
Since it's winter and all, I have been using my heater extensively. I recently replaced the regulator and that fixed the air speed, but now I have a new problem. When I use the heater, the left side blows hot air like normal, but the passenger side blows cold unheated air. I thought it may be a duovalve from searching, but that seems related to the A/C. My A/C works fine. I'm trying to get the passenger side to blow hot also. Any help please.
It might be something with the A/C housing. Maybe the motor inside the unit is not opening the vent to let hot air in...... I mean it is a dual climate control unit, so they almost work seperate to a certain extent. The passanger side might be faulty. Check out some fuses and relays.
i had that problem one day ...same thing passenger side cold air and driver hot...so i just shut off the car restarted then just played with the unit for a while like put it on auto...then adjust the temperature and what not...so it worked and now its normail...hope that works for you..and hope its nothing serious
Last year I took my car to the dealer for B service & after they'd finished they told the heater wasn't working & would cost $500 to install a new dual valve (AKA heater control valve). I told them no because the heater was working fine before I took it in & I thought if I messed with it a little it might resume normal function. Unfortunately, that was not the case & since then the heater has done a few strange things, including what you mentioned yours was doing. However, I live in Southern California so I don't really use the heater that much anyway & am finding the heated seats sufficient. My car is a diesel & takes a 0018307884 valve which is available online at about $215. If yours is a 210 body gas model, Germanstar has 0018307784 available for $179 (they claim it'll fit mine but I'm not gonna buy until I get verification of that). From what I've discovered so far it seems like the dual valve is gonna be what I (and you) need.
