MB gives you pretty good advanced warning about the pads, so you can drive with the light on for few days, but in city traffic that is not too long.
How long you have it on?

Pads are easy on the 210 chassis. You need to measure the rotors while you're in there to make sure they are within spec. They are pretty easy to do too. Check the DIY section - it likely has the step by step.
