how many miles do you get typically on a single full tank of gas?? my 97 E420 has a 21.1 gal tank, so theoretically i should be able to go 500 miles on the hwy..?? city driving though i'm sure i can only get ~16mpg, or 330 miles..

I should be able to get just over 500 miles on my 16 gallon tank, but I've never pushed it that far. Max has been about 450 on 14 gallons.

I have gotten over 600 miles on my 98 E320 in SF to LA all highway driving doing 75-80MPH. Would probably do a little better at reduced speed.

the best I have ever done is 433 miles out of at 17.6 Gallon tank and that was right to the limit, there was not much full left. I did this in "w" mode and kept the rev's below 2,000 for the whole time.

I get 30 miles per gallon on FWY driving with 2 persons in car and about 100 pounds in drunk. E320 2001

damnnnnn in the city driving on a full tank 21.1 gallons i get maximum range about 190-200 miles...and highway about 440 miles... can someone tell me why my car is spending gas like is a v12 engine lol...and i got an e320

seriously, i'm just speechless at the mileage numbers that are being thrown out here. 600 miles on a tank?? 500 miles on 16 gallons?? lol

till you find out, that from SF to LA is acutally 380 miles.

on my 97 e320 with 130k miles I get around 24-26 mpg highway and 15-18 mpg city.

Keep in mind that our gas light comes on with 3 gallons still in the tank so you're really calculating on 18 gallons. The furthest I've gone with the light on was around 40 miles and I was sweating it towards the end...
