I am trying to replace the bulbs in the mirrors for my indicators. All info I can find relate to pre '99 models. Has anybody done this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Finally tackled this last night, only took me 5 hrs!
After the three screws there is a metal clip that you need to lift up with a flat head screw-driver. Be careful as the mirror innards are wedged in very tight.
When I opened the mirror to look at the LEDS I found the whole inside smashed to bits, nothing of the motor was salvageable. So I am just going buy a new mirror and be done with it and fit it myself.
Can you give some step by step instructions on how you took the mirror apart. I need to check on the motor in passenger side miirror on my 02 ML500, but haven't been able to figured out how to take the cover off. thanks.
Hi shoreibah, I think you should look in the ML500 section. I am not familiar with the mirrors on those cars and I am not sure if the mirrors are the same. They seem to vary amongst the different models.
