where can i buy highest quality projector headlights & LED tail lights?
i want to stick with OEM for my 1997 E420 but OEM headlights have fluted glass, and OEM tail lights have the outdated look.
So I must stick w/ aftermarket, but just about every ebay unit looks real crappy.. what are my best options and how much are they? where to order from? thanks i already searched but there seem to be lots of differing opinions.. if someone can post a gold reference reply it'd be super helpful
ebay! got mine and they look good, dont let the pics decieve you. you will end up paying twice as much for the same depot lights and car customizing places

insofar as clear lens headlights are concerned, perhaps only the Depo utilize the
H7 bulb, whereas the other halogen aftermarkets use smaller bulb or smaller
reflector design. in my opinion, none of the aftermarket halogens match the
brightness of a clean OEM halogen. it's just that the fluted lens (as you say)
look so outdated. if you're determined to go with clear lens, then my vote is
for the Depo, as it is the easiest to modify with HID projector and ballast.
yes, you can purchase a cheaper clear lens halogen, but if you have any interest
in good light beam, spread, pattern, the *only* option is to yank out the Depo
halogen and stick in an HID. Have done this 2x.
Sorry, the aftermarket halogens have extremely poor projector and projector lens.
I realize that this is painting with a broad brush, but having seen them at night,
I'd have to recommend that if you have any appreciation for nice, even light beam
for over 70mph in rural or dimly lit roads, you will *not* be satisfied with any of
the aftermaket projectors. Next best thing is to frankenstein an HID projector
inside the Depo.
Can you retrofit HID projector into the other aftermarket clear lens headlights?
yes, but much more difficult to do that Depo headlight.
re tailights: what Mark sez. E55 tail lights. I prefer clear vs tinted...but i ended
up with a tinted E55 rear. you may want to consider the body color of your ride
and then imagine how clear would enhance vs dark/tinted .
