Steering wheel buttons get stuck!

Hello everybody! I was wondering if anybody has the same problem as do. Those cool buttons on the steering wheel that let one change the radio station and other functions get stuck every once in while! Now, image driving and the silly button get stuck on high volume. Not cool! Is there a method of fixing this? Maybe cleaning the inside of the buttons with causing any damage? Thanks.

Remove the air bag and then you can remove the switch and clean the contacts

To remove the air bag, unscrew the two hex screws on the back of the steering wheel. You may want to disconnect the battery before you unplug the air bag and the multi-function buttons contact wires such that you won't set any faults. Also remember to re-synch after you reconnect the battery.

A related question:

My multi-function steering wheel buttons are sticky to the touch. I tried to clean them once and managed to peel the corner of the clear skin covering them. Now I have sticky and peeling buttons! Anyone with this problem or suggestions to fix? By the way, only the top left buttons have this problem.

I bet this would be shown at braingears.com under Dissassembly of the Interior Part 4, but the video is incorrect (showing part 6). Is that bit of video anywhere else? This is a link to the mirror http://w210.pietrzyk.net/disassembly_68inter_step4.htm
