Just recently bought a 1998 E320 with xenon headlamps. The left side will not come on or if it does it is only for 1 or 2 seconds. I replaced the bulbs (not cheap) and discovered that the left assembly itself is not working properly. Attached to the assembly is the ballast and starter system from Hella. I can not find a replacement for this on line anywhere. The ballast and starter come as one unit in the latest generation unlike the one on my E320. What options (other than a dealer) are available to replace just the ballast and/or starter if possible.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
