I read many of the previous posts about changing (upgrading) the headlight bulbs. I have a 1997 E300 diesel. Changing the bulbs doesn't sound too difficult.
My question is about the bulb itself (sorry I am a newbie). I purchased four (cheap) 8000K bulbs off ebay- Euro bulbs. I read the feedback from previous customers and all seemed happy-but the bulbs only cost $12 each. My questions are 1) does anybody know anything about these bulbs? 2) Will it be safe to plug and play these bulbs 3) What would be a better bulb to purchase ie: the silver star? Thanks for any help-just wish I knew about this forum before buying the bulbs.
I have no experience on the bulbs or whether or not they're good. However I can say that 8000k bulbs will not be as bright as OEM HIDs, which are typically 4300k. They'll just be more blue.
