E220 CDI irregular idle and acceleration

Hi guys

I hope anyone can help me out, before MB rips me off

This is a peridocal problem, and i cant figure out under what special conditions it occurs.

Sometimes the car shakes when idling and then accelerates irregular, and it seems like there is a loss of power.

And some times it just runs smooth - as it should

My friend told me, it is most likely the CDI Regulator - the MAF has just been changed because of the problem - not resolved.

Any hints - any way i can figure something out myself?

BR
