Windows go down but won't close. - Benzworld.org

I changed the battery on my 1997 E230 yesterday, and now the windows will go down but won't close without a great deal of pulling and clicking, I have a feeling they need to be re-set after the battery change but I can't find the manual (naturally). Does anyone know whether this is the case and if so how do I do it, is it on the window buttons or the electronic key? I dont want to visit the dealer unless I really have to. Help appreciated very much.

You need to resynchronize your windows and headrests. Owner's manual has it. Otherwise do a search. Someone posted a photocopy of the procedure.

Thanks Len, I got fed up looking at the search results, sent me to sleep automotive things tend to do that to me. I found one post that said to press the console buttons in a certain manner, didn't work, Its done on the electronic key, Hold the open button till they all go right down, hold the close button till they all go up again, Bingo, sorted, thanks for the help.
