Roof Trim ~ How does it attach?

The roof trim which runs alongside the front windshield to the rear window is loose. Upon inspection, the teeth on the two rear most white clips are broken, causing the slide for the press fit to break away.

I've ordered two sets but does anyone know how to properly secure them as a press fit again?

remove and replace existing damage clip, clean the parts & press to fit.
