i suppose window regulator question

ok just yesterday my friend sat in the back seat and pushed the button for the window to go all the way down..no problem...on my way home i decide to put the window up and all of a sudden i hear a crashh lol and the window refuses to come up but i still hear the motor going...i was lookin at the DIY but the difference is that my window is stuck inside...what would i have to do different from the DIY on the window regulator cuz in that one he has his window all the way up..opposite of me lol

No difference. Once you remove the door panel you can push the window up by hand.

Yep - same thing happened to my E430 last week.

Pretty easy to remove the door panel - three large screws and about 6 poppers. You'll need to snip the cable that has most likely unwound itself from the regulator spindle and push the glass back up the slides. I have mine held in position with a length of wood until the new regulator arrives ($15.95 from www.partstrain.com).

Not a difficult job - but a PIA, have a couple of cold beers to hand and take your time. You'll save yourself anywhere in the region of $200 - 1,000 by doing it yourself.
