#6 seems odd. Does that one read in C, and your engine was cold?

Otherwise, they all look quite normal for a quiescent system.

Check the value against the gauge with the engine warmed up and running. Since it was cold, that would be about right for C.

Hello guys... I just bought my first MB (E320 4matic) two months ago.. The only thing it needed was the A/c not blowing cold..

I decided to recharge it last night.. One can and a tiny can of stop leak (just cuz it had some lubricants in it- to oil the system)..

Well, my A/c blows cold on the Passenger side, but the vents on th driver side blow Air ONLY.. Does the car have two separate condensers?

Ive played with all the controls as well ensuring both sides are the same set TEMP...

Any suggestions?

It probably means that you are still low on refrigerant.

And please, please don't introduce stop-leak products into your system. These can cause problems, even to the point of requiring total system replacement.

Oops , That's not good..

Well the gauge i was using showed the system being in blue, and after having the can attached for a while, it seemed to stop taking it. i detached it but the can blew the rest out (still had pressure).

I saw something about the Vent flaps not working.. I do hear a hiss from the vents when i took it for a test run yesterday///

You cannot rely on a low-side gauge only with our systems. These work fine for most US cars with CCOT systems (cycling-compressor, orifice tube), but do not work nearly as well for a TXV system (thermal expansion valve) as is used in our cars.

You need to measure the high-side to determine if you are low on refrigerant, and even then it is much more of a guess than with a CCOT system.

I just wasn't sure what was going on. I had a similar situation with a Pathfinder i had before (driver side warm/passenger cold).

I guess ill try to put more refrigerant in then. Reading something about the duovalve. Does that have anything to do with it? I'd be afraid to mess with it since i just bought this car.

I would highly recommend getting a gauge set so you can monitor your high-side pressure. But then again, I always make this recommendation. You can also monitor the high side from the pushbutton unit, but if you have a restriction, this reading will be wrong.

Be sure to purge the fill hose of air before connecting it to the car in any case.
