BOSCH PLATINUM+4? Is the dealer OEM

plugs better than the above plug? I was thinking about installing the Iridium plugs, but after reading that they last around 30K miles, changed my mind. Dealer wanted $16.50 per plug, yet can get the above for $6; is there a huge difference?

+4s are junk. They are sold for people with major oil burning engines. They are not good for a Benz. You can order the same OEM plugs on the internet. Stick with the same model of plug and swap them every 60K miles for the V6. Make sure you get 12 of them. I do mine every 30K in my Inline 6 and only need 6.

Nice to see another AZ owner on here. Be sure and attend our AZ owners get togethers.

Stick with OEM, I put in platinums in my 89 SEC and it ran worse than better.

I am just curious why bosch +4 are junk?

Yes, I do understand conductivity variation between Platinum and copper.
I also understand the variable also depending on ECU, ignition style, wireset. (hence same plug yield different performance in different type of engine)

I would think bosch, such high tech manufacture will not produce "crappy" plug, no? If within the spec, why one plug be "junk"? And how does anyone or "someone", "my friend", "they said" comes up with this conclusion or data?
