Yes, but you need to buy the 42-44mm festoon for the dome light.
(there is no current sensor for the dome light, therefore you do NOT need resistor for them)

p.s. "WHITE" interior dome light doesn't look good on light interior though.

I got the festoon LEDs (44 & 39mm) from U.S. Home Direct and they are failing left and right (so far 5 out of 6). Does anyone have the same problem or just me?

just so you know those lights gets very hot it might discolored the plastic doem cover.

Very interesting. I might want to modify mine as well.
But here's the dilemma: while we are trying to conserve battery power by reducing power consumption using LEDs, what can we do to deactivate parking and fog lights that turned on when we close the doors at night. 30 second or so with 2 fog lights, 2 parking, 2 tail and 2 side marker surely consumes a lot of power. Hopefully somebody will tell me that we have the option to activate or deactivate this waste of battery power feature.

... LED lights get very hot...
I think you are mixed up between the light emitting diode (LED) and the vacuum tube. LED consumes much less power, produces almost no heat and supposes to have an extremely long life. Some LED flash lights can run continuously for 30 hours with a single AA battery.

That all depends on the wattage and efficiency of the LED itself.

High-wattage LEDs get quite hot, but most people have never seen one. Also, getting 30 hours out of a AA battery indicates low current draw, and low light output as a result.

LED's are more efficient than incandescent bulbs if you have an efficient power supply. They take low voltage and high current. If you use a series resistor to limit the voltage, all of the efficiency gain is lost.

Remember, there is not just one LED in production any more than there is one car that you can buy. Some are much better than others at particular applications, yet most consumers see "LED" and think they have the best parts. The ratings and abilities of the various models vary widely, but the parts you find used in these replacement bulbs will be whatever is cheapest. What you buy next week is likely to have different parts than what you get this week.
