Just recently joined the mercedes club when last month i brought a 2001 E200 Kompressor Classic. The car is great, this is my first mercedes and it certainly lives up to expectations!
One niggly problem that i have is the vanity mirrors in my car are not illuminated. The're just ordinary ones that flip down with a mirror. After looking at them carefully, it seems that where they are clipped onto the ceiling of the car, it looks like there are metal contacts... possibly supplying an electrical feed that would light up the mirrors if they were illuminated. I have compared to my friends e class whom has illuminated mirrors, and the way that the sun visors are clipped into place are exactly the same.
My question is that if I were to buy some sun visors that were illuminated or get some second hand ones, would they work and light up. I know its a simple case of clipping in and replacing the ones currently in there.
