haha, yes the curb works great, but your neighbors will be talking how cheap their neighbor is that he not only changes the oil by himself on his mercedes instead of paying the shop, but he even is too cheap to buy $25 ramps. haha, just joking, myself too i;m too cheap to buy the ramps. i just leave the car on ground level, and then while is dripping i jack it up a little on the opposite side to get the rest of oil out.
doing oil change yourself, not because you're cheap
but at least you know what 's being done to your Mercedes when you do it yourself, of course, you need to know what you are doing...
A friend of mine always had his serviced at the dealer, and after some miles, suddenly the transmission would not shift correctly and the dealer told him it's because some grit got into the trans and wanted a few grand to replace the trans... So how did the grit get into the trans in the first place? Good question for the dealer...
So I prefer to work on my cars whenever possible...there are some things that can't be done in your own garage, but still ..at least the oil change, etc... I can do...
