HPS GEN II SUPERCHARGER UPDATE

Jus wanted to give an update to those intersted in a hps gen II kit. To date I have a had about 10,000 put on the car with the supercharger. The only problems that I have had are simply maintanance issues. I got a check engine light, and the car began missing very bad. Brought the car into mech tech and had HPS work on it. Found out the problem was the spark plug wires. Replaced the spark plug wires, problem solved. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SUPERCHARGER!!! Second time I had a check engine light was a constant pending and then changed to a malfuction. THe barometric sensor on the front of the motor that measures vacummn pressure was malfunctioning and giving a check engine light. Well the problem there was the sensor had a vacummn leak and once again the car was diagnosed and repaired by mech tech in a very orderly fashion, awesome service by mech tech and HPS. The part was replaced and the car runs great. Once again, IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SUPERCHARGER. TO all those guys out there bashing on the hps kit. Don't say a f#@%ing word about the kit not working right until your car is working right before you install the kit. Mind you my car had ninety thousand miles on it when the kit was installed and it was 141 hp gain on the dyno at mech tech. we saw 341 rwhp and 351 rw tq. not bad for a e430. Bottom line if you car has issues before you put the kit on, of course it's gonna run like sh#t. I have kept up on all the maintenance on my car and have been chewing up late model M3's and c55's no problem. Even pulled a corvette at a hundred, not a brand new one, but the model just before. Adam and Hps THANK YOU Keep up the good work.

RE: HPS GEN II SUPERCHARGER UPDATE

Have a dyno of YOUR car?...Did You see the dyno in person..or is this another cooked dyno from them?
as HPS is still working on the LEAN running issues
And It Would in HPS best interest to be recalling all of its kits for the Software upgrades once done!

Would like to see the A/F on Your car...
Oh and How Much boost are you running?

No Hate..Just a Heads Up to SAVE YOUR engine from a Meltdown

RE: HPS GEN II SUPERCHARGER UPDATE

Yes actually I drove the car on the dyno! Lean issues?? What the hell are you talking about. A/F is 12.7, Ideal is around 14.7 for a n/a car. Highest boost I've seen is around 7.5 lbs. Do you have a kit or are you just on here for bench racing like all the others that talk shit but don't actually even have a supercharger kit or even a benz???

1st Drive e430 2nd Gen HPS kit [}:)]

Just drove my car on friday for the first time after Mech Tech in San Diego installed the all new 2nd generation HPS supercharger kit. Car idled smoother that ever, complete adaptation, loads of power, the power comes on so smooth that you hardly realize how fast you are going until you look at your speedo. This kit is a definite must have for all e430's e55's and e500's. Photos and dyno sheets coming monday.

Saw a HPS on a Dyno that was in the MELTDOWN mode
Thats Why Adam is doing software to correct this..
I would contact Adam asap re this....
But hey what do I know..Just called out a HPS owner and found out the LEAN Issue...

Like I said NO Hate..JUST FACTS....and This might save your engine...

Post up your dyno if you have a REAl one..

yeah I have a couple of Mercedes if it makes a difference?

BTW (IF) you are in the LA area..stop over for a dyno..PM Me if Interested..No Games..JUST FACTS

sorry I don't sit around and wait to talk about my car I drive the shit out of it and yes I have already spoke to adam about the software changes, but you have to realize when the car was on the dyno it gives you real time a/f mix. I have the dyno sheet, but pm me and I'll email it to you.

RE: HPS GEN II SUPERCHARGER UPDATE

Congrats on your system! I have the Gen1 and everything is fine. I had to do some custom tunning to get more Hp out of it and make it run safe but I really can't complain too much. The only problem I have is even though I raised my boost and riched my fuel I'm still 30whp below what HPS said I would be. Before I did the safe upgrades I was 60whp below.
I would have your car redyno'd by an indy shop, just to make sure everything is safe and that your comfortable with the numbers you are getting.
I must say your numbers are much higher than even the Gen2 55 motors are getting. I wonder why your car reacted so well even with out ECU tunning?

Maybe this guy will prove us wrong, but he does seem very defensive like he has been picked on for the last year. It would be soooo sad if it was Adam.
