Can anyone advice on how to remove the original in dash radio/CD. The current model is the Audio10, will I be able to use the steering control after I have done an upgrade?
just inside the lower corners of the radio, you'll see
two slots, 3/8" long. using a blade just narrower, and
just thin enough...AND...with approx 1" curvature facing
the centerline of the radio, you should be able to slide
the blad in just enough to release the latches.
the properly made tools will cost you roughly $10 tops.
the dealer or car audio shop may do it for free. trying
to make the tools yourself may take an hour...trial and
error. pop out is < 5 seconds.
insofar as whether you can still utilize your steering
controls will depend on what your upgraded head unit is.
as for maintaining your steering wheel controls,
