RE: New Wheels - now do I need to lower the car 1-inch?
Hey, E420White,
So long as it's not a 4Matic, the wheel/tire combo is not significantly larger (particularly in terms of width, the front is already pretty tight for overall diameter) and the offset is okay, then you can drop it an inch without any problems.

Send a photo when you get your wheels.
I am really happy with the look of these wheels. I struggled with the idea that I needed 18-inch AMG monoblocks, but in the end I opted for a good looking 17-inch wheel instead.

Those are essentailly the same rims that come with the 2000 E430 sport, which I now have on my car except they don't have the center cap. Do you have the center cap?
How much were they?

I'm replacing a set of these same wheels (original equipment) except chrome on my 2001 E320 Sport. They have Pirelli PZero Nero's 235/45-17 with about 50-60% of tread left if anyone is interested.

clean looking car, i just took my original wheels off, same exact, from my e430 sport, i put on 19" carlsson wheels. I dropped my car about 1.5". Looks beautiful and on a nice road it feels awesome. But the ride is now much harder, but i'll deal with it for the looks. Good luck......................
