My 2001 E320 Sport rolled over 100,000 miles yesterday. In the last coupl eof weeks, I've had the following problems: 1. Intermittent Wiper Sensors do not work properly 2. Drivers Seat heater stopped working 3. Catylitic converter is rattling an will need to be replaced.
I have spent nearly $300 trying to get the wipers repaired and they still do not work. The drivers seat heater light switch indicator still works but the seat does not get warm - any idea how much? and why the bottom cushion and the seat back would go out at the same time?
Also, the catalytic converter that is rattling was replaced by warranty at 50k miles. now it needs another one. Any idea how much this costs?
While looking at the catalytic converter, I notice oil seaping around the seals of the rear end. Any idea what this replecement costs?
I have treated this car with kid gloves and have absolutely loved it, but I'm getting tired of having it in the shop all the time and it has become very expensive to maintain. I'm considering getting rid of it and buying soemthing else. I drive 105 miles each day round trip to work here in Northern California and love a great car, but this is driving me crazy!
