Where do you find a burlwood shift cover

Hi everyone,

I have a 98 E300TD which I love. I am starting to want to personialize it some, and I like the look of the entire center console being burlwood. My shifter area is black (where the P R N D) and I have seen it in burlwood. Can anyone tell me where to purchase that piece of trim? I assume it is a stick on vanier. Thanks,

Orlando

I have seen them on the UK and German ebay sites. Check the shape, you might find one for a S-Class or other model that might work.

Question Storm, how easy was it to replace your shifter?

From reading a variety of posts it looks like the trickiest parts are to not break the plastic around the shifter arm. Was it a difficut process to install the knob? Did you remove the center wood console from the hand rest end or from the ashtray end? Any W210 references. I've seen only W124 instructions.

Thumbs up Got the knob and easy to install

Never mind. I got it and realized how simple it was to screw off and screw on the new one.
