I bought a 2000 E430 Sport a few months ago and I just noticed last night that the rear seats don't fold down. Is it just me or is that the way they were designed? I was hoping to stick my snowboard through the trunk and in turn pull one of the seats down...

The rear seat doesn't fold down. The gas tank is in the way of a pass through to the trunk.
