I'm slowly (and carefully) accessorizing mine as well.
Just got factory E55 tail light housings, as I only
wanted smokey top half and regular red bottom.
Have dropped in E55 bixenon into the Depo lights. (Can
you tell me which lights you used?)
Had the 30% on all but front windows. Blinking exterior
mirrors painted and sitting on project bench for me to
install. Rims I want are about $800 each so i'll have
to eat mac n cheese and save up. Then DVD and good
sound system would be nice.
Many Benz owners think upgrading your Benzs appearance is ghetto.
Thats me. I dont see any point really. Ive only seen a few mods that I really liked. I would never do it to my car though. To me, stock looks the best.
I know a place in Long Beach, Ca. that has the Projector lights for $350. out the door, and they carry the tail lights too.
EBAY has them and so does Performance Products but they sell them for way too much if you ask me.$600.
I asked the manufacture to contact Performance Products and sell them directly so that way we can get the savings at the register.
Also... Once i installed the Projecter lights i noticed that they dont compleatly fit so i had to adjust a few things here and there (nothing major). Its plug and play really.
AUTODYNAMIC.COM has the Depo units for $379. These seem
to be one of the better aftermarket housings with clear
lenses. The mounting posts inside make it extremely
easy to retrofit HID if you use projectors taken off an
E55 and possibly BMW X5. Understand that you'll need
to draw a bead of silicone sealant around the seam of
the lens as these are notorious for letting moisture
in through this gap. http://tinyurl.com/dp72z
I'm not sure if Performance Products sells the same
Depo or aftermarket halogen headlight. But gads, $600
is quite steep.
Ruffrob - if MnC is cheaper than Costco, then let me
know. Am thinking of eating my dog's food now. p.s.
yes, your car *is* all that. are those your new rims
in the photo?
HNY,brother Ray,and this is about the cheapest MacNCheese I know of,and lastly the latest rims won't go on until the spring since at this time of year the threat of snow is always apparent....
