How do you replace the wood trim piece around the shift gate?

Question: how difficult is it to replace the wood trim piece around the shift gate? Mine came back from a service appointment and I found some minor scratches well after-the-fact.

Thank you!

Open the compartment under the armrest, stick your fingers in the gap underneath the wood panel for the gearstick, and pull upwards.

Be careful, a few wires, switches and connectors are attached to the back of the panel.
