220 CDI problems

Hello,I have a little problem with a E220 CDI,today i drove it for the first time, and it was a little weird,When i put to pedal down...nothin happend..the car started to accelerate but the acceleration was very slow, compared to a 1,9 tdi 110hp
Could the car acceleration be so slow because the car had only 6 l of fuel left and probarly run into an economic mode or something?

RE: 220 CDI problems

If you have driven a TDI 110 hp for a while and now a cdi, you will idd find it very slow off the line.
the tdi's are extremely peppy and performance built diesel engines. The cdi's are more like the heavier, slower. but very reliable and once you get the engine going it just keeps on going.
also the auto gearboxes make the engine very lame of the line.

easy 'trick' to check if your engine is ok: take a stopwatch and stomp it from 0 to 100 kph. measure it. I think an E220 CDI 143hp should be around 12 -13 seconds.

RE: 220 CDI problems

From what i know the car has 150hp i will make some tests tomorrow to see how the car goes at high speeds.
In the cars manual the 0-100 km/h is 10,6.
